Partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors across Leicestershire are committed to working together to support the relocation of government departments, agencies and their staff to Leicestershire. They recognise that good local government relationships are critical in helping relocations run smoothly. They have consequently established a Public Sector Relocation Support Team, which provides a single point of contact to deliver professional support, information and advice to government departments and agencies and their staff throughout the relocation process. There is real commitment at the top of each partner organisation to secure public sector relocations to Leicestershire, which will result in rapid decision-making. This will enable rapid decision-making and make sure they receive the support needed to ensure the relocation proceeds smoothly.
Prospect Leicestershire is co-ordinating the work of partners to ensure there is the right level of support available to those considering relocating to the area. Partners working with Prospect Leicestershire include Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, the district councils in Leicestershire, Leicestershire Learning and Skills Council, Jobcentre Plus, Leicester Shire Intelligence, Leicester Regeneration Company, Leicester Shire Promotions, Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce and Business Link, the Universities of Leicester, De Montfort and Loughborough, recruitment agencies, estate agents, financial institutions, the health sector, the Leicester Mercury Newspaper, Institute of Directors and Leicestershire Business Voice.
