Getting to Work
Getting to work in Leicestershire is easy from an amazing variety of places – thanks to good road and rail links and surprisingly low congestion at peak times. All parts of Leicestershire are within 45 minute peaktime drive time of Leicester. Many people who work in the City and live either in or just outside the city centre walk or cycle to work each day. Others who live outside the City and travel into the City use the park and ride. If you drive in to the City, there is very little congestion outside a short peak period in the morning and evening. A 15 minutes drive from Leicester and you’re in the heart of the countryside – you can even be in the National Forest. 15 minutes on the train and you’re in rural market towns and villages. 30 minutes and you’re in Rutland.
