Partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors in the City of Leicester and County of Leicestershire are working closely together to encourage government departments and agencies to consider the Leicestershire area. The
Leicester Shire Economic Partnership is co-ordinating this work and we believe we have a strong case, offering government departments and agencies something distinctive and different. In particular, we believe Leicestershire provides:

It is a diverse, multi-cultural area well renown for the tolerance and harmony that exists between its communities, which will be welcomed by a wide range of people. Attractive countryside, strong local communities and excellent schools can be combined with superb communication links, which mean that London, Birmingham and other major cities are readily accessible.
Here in Leicestershire, we recognise that good local government relationships are critical in helping relocations run smoothly and we have consequently established a Public Sector Relocation Support Team. This Team provides a single point of contact in the local area and a dedicated resource to deliver professional support, information and advice to government departments, agencies and their staff throughout the relocation process.
